The 2020 National Electrical Code (NEC) introduced new requirements that significantly affect how multi-family meter centers must be designed and installed. To support these changes, Siemens has updated its Uni-PAK portfolio of multi-position metering to fully comply with NEC 2020 standards, including:

NEC 230.62 – Line terminal barriers for enhanced safety
NEC 230.71 – Separate compartments for each disconnect
NEC 230.82 – Emergency disconnect labeling (included in box)

The result is a smarter, safer, and fully code-compliant metering system designed for duplexes, triplexes, apartment buildings, and other multi-tenant residential applications. The Uni-PAK lineup includes a wide range of configurations and ampacities from 200A to 1000A across three families:

Surge Protection Kits for Siemens Uni-PAK

Siemens offers NEC-compliant SPD mounting kits for WEPK, WPK, and WPLK systems. These kits protect your installation from transient surges and lightning events. Surge current ratings range from 35kA to 140kA with Type 1 and Type 2 devices available.
