Return Policy
At Sonic Electric, we are committed to processing and shipping your order as quickly as possible. Please review the following Shipping & Returns Policy before placing your order. By placing an order with Sonic Electric, you acknowledge and agree to the terms set forth below.
Order Processing & Shipping
Most orders placed before 12:00 PM Pacific Time (PT) are processed for shipment the same business day or within three (3) business days, subject to product availability, order verification, and payment approval.
If you require delivery by a specific date, please contact Sonic Electric before placing your order. While we will make every reasonable effort to accommodate your request, requested delivery dates are not guaranteed.
- Most orders ship within one (1) to six (6) business days.
- Orders may be shipped via UPS, FedEx, USPS, or common freight carrier, depending on the size, weight, and destination.
- Tracking information is generally emailed within seventy-two (72) hours after your order has shipped.
- Orders placed on weekends or holidays will be processed on the next business day.
Expedited Shipping
Expedited shipping services, including UPS Next Day Air®, UPS 2nd Day Air®, UPS 3 Day Select®, and similar expedited services, apply only to carrier transit time and do not guarantee same-day order processing or shipment.
All expedited orders remain subject to:
- Product availability
- Order verification
- Payment approval
- Standard processing times
If guaranteed shipment or delivery by a specific date is required, please contact Sonic Electric before placing your order so product availability and shipping timelines can be confirmed.
Once an order has been tendered to the shipping carrier, Sonic Electric is not responsible for carrier delays, service interruptions, weather events, labor disruptions, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Product Availability & Backorders
While we strive to maintain accurate inventory, product availability cannot be guaranteed.
Certain items may become unavailable due to:
- Backorders
- Manufacturer shortages
- Product discontinuations
- Inventory discrepancies
- Other unforeseen circumstances
If an item is unavailable:
- Sonic Electric will make reasonable efforts to notify you by email or telephone within two (2) to three (3) business days.
- Orders containing products from multiple manufacturers may ship separately.
- Partial shipments may occur at Sonic Electric's discretion.
- Estimated shipping dates are provided for convenience only and are not guaranteed.
Lost, Stolen & Delivered Packages
Risk of loss transfers to the customer upon delivery of the shipment to the shipping address provided at checkout.
Sonic Electric is not responsible for packages that are lost, stolen, delayed, misdelivered, or damaged after delivery has been completed by the shipping carrier.
Customers must submit any claims for lost or stolen packages directly to the applicable shipping carrier.
Return Policy
To request a return, please email hello@sonicelectric.com with the following information:
- Full name
- Order number
- Manufacturer and model number
- Brief description of the reason for the return
All returns require prior authorization from Sonic Electric. Returns sent without authorization may be refused or denied.
Non-Defective Merchandise Returns
Non-defective merchandise may be returned within thirty (30) days of the original purchase date, provided all of the following conditions are met:
- The item is new, unused, and has not been installed, energized, altered, or modified.
- The item is returned in its original manufacturer packaging.
- All original parts, accessories, manuals, hardware, and packaging materials are included.
- Tracking information for the return shipment is provided to Sonic Electric no later than the 30th day following the original purchase date.
- The item is received by Sonic Electric in resalable condition.
Approved non-defective returns are subject to a 30% restocking fee. The 30% restocking fee will be waived when the customer places a new replacement order with Sonic Electric in connection with the approved return.
Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
If returned merchandise is received in used, opened, installed, damaged, incomplete, reconditioned, or otherwise non-resalable condition, Sonic Electric may deny the return or assess additional charges at its sole discretion.
Upon receipt, all returned merchandise will be inspected by Sonic Electric. Returns that do not satisfy the requirements of this Return Policy will not qualify for a refund, replacement, exchange, or store credit.
Defective Merchandise Returns
Claims for defective merchandise must be submitted within ten (10) days of the invoice date.
Approved defective merchandise is eligible only for replacement with the same item.
All returned products are subject to inspection and testing by Sonic Electric and/or the manufacturer.
If a returned product is determined to be operating properly, is not defective, or otherwise does not satisfy the requirements of this Return Policy, no refund, replacement, exchange, or store credit will be issued.
If a returned product is covered by the manufacturer's warranty, Sonic Electric may direct the customer to the manufacturer for warranty service or replacement.
Any returned product that does not qualify for a refund or replacement shall become the property of Sonic Electric and may be retained, recycled, discarded, or otherwise disposed of at Sonic Electric's sole discretion.
Sonic Electric reserves the sole and exclusive right to determine whether a returned product qualifies as defective.
Non-Returnable Merchandise
The following items are final sale and are not eligible for return, refund, exchange, or store credit:
- Assembled or special-order items
- Backordered items
- Discontinued items
- Faceplates, plates, and covers
- Final sale items
- Sale or clearance items
- Floor box assemblies and kitchen countertop boxes
- Recessed trims (LED inserts) and housings
- Halogen, fluorescent, and incandescent products
- Load Centers, Panels, Power Mod products, Multi-Meter Packs, and related accessories
Order Cancellations & Refused Shipments
All cancellation requests must be submitted by email.
A cancellation request is not effective unless and until confirmed in writing by Sonic Electric.
If an order has already shipped and is refused by the customer or returned due to customer refusal, all applicable restocking fees will apply. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
A 5% cancellation fee applies to all canceled orders, including orders canceled prior to shipment.
Shortages, Shipping Damage & Incorrect Shipments
Customers should inspect all shipments immediately upon delivery.
Claims for shortages, shipping damage, or incorrectly shipped merchandise must be submitted to Sonic Electric within five (5) business days after delivery.
Claims submitted after the five (5) business-day period will not be accepted.
Failure to report such claims within this period constitutes acceptance of the shipment as delivered.
Exchanges
Sonic Electric does not offer product exchanges.
Customers wishing to purchase a different item must place a new order and, if eligible, return the unwanted item in accordance with this Shipping & Returns Policy. For an approved non-defective return, the 30% restocking fee will be waived when the customer places a new replacement order with Sonic Electric in connection with the return.
Reservation of Rights
Sonic Electric reserves the right to deny any shipment claim, cancellation request, return, refund, replacement, exchange, or store credit request that does not comply with this Shipping & Returns Policy.
Sonic Electric reserves the right to interpret, apply, modify, or update this Shipping & Returns Policy at any time without prior notice. The version in effect on the date an order is placed shall govern that order.
