Orbit Industriesš¬¢ steel locknuts are used to secure threaded conduits or connectors to electrical junction boxes or enclosures in wet locations. The conduit locknuts allow standard junction boxes to be used with unthreaded conduit knockout openings in wet locations. Serrated teeth on the locknut bite into the box and enclosure to prevent vibratory loosening of the connection.  In damp locations, steel conduit locknuts are also of excellent corrosion protection with zinc electroplated.
